Since the launch of this REIT Management Course in 2017, close to 400 participants have attended this popular course. It is designed to equip junior and middle management in REITs with a comprehensive understanding of the various key aspects of managing a listed REIT. It is also appropriate for professionals or graduates who intend to make a career switch or enter the REIT profession. The emphasis of the course is on the practical application of financial and real estate knowledge drawn from the experience of senior practitioners from the REIT industry. Case studies and actual industry examples are used to supplement the comprehensive lectures covering nine important functional aspects of REIT management.
Additionally, this course has garnered attention from around the globe. Last year, a group of overseas attendees made a special trip to Singapore to enhance their knowledge of Singapore REITs.
We conducted a one-day in-person course on Sustainability for REITs. This course was well received last year and we have updated the contents.
The course is designed to provide junior and middle management working across different functions in a REIT with a comprehensive and practical understanding of how sustainability issues impact REIT management. The emphasis of the course is on the real-world application of environmental and stakeholder considerations when managing a REIT as well as on key aspects of sustainability-related regulations, finance and reporting. Instructors are senior practitioners in the REIT and real estate sustainability fields.
Our refreshed & updated Online Rules & Ethics Course for 2024 is now open for registration!
This year, we’ve added a new module, expanding our comprehensive offering to a total of 15 modules (up from 14 in 2023), while simultaneously updating and refreshing the other 14 modules. Pick any 6 modules that pique your interest!
Similar to previous years, the course is designed such that you can work through the different modules at your own pace and time. CMS licensees will be awarded 6 core SFA CPD hours on successful completion of your selected 6 modules.
Please note that while the course is recognized by IBF (MAS) to fulfil 6 core CPD hours, there is no subsidy available.
As a gentle reminder, all Capital Market Service (CMS) licensees are required to complete 9 CPD hours every calendar year, of which 6 hours have to be on Rules & Ethics. However, do note that the course is not limited to CMS licensees and can be useful for anyone involved in the S-REIT sector.
