Join us at the premier and largest REIT event of 2024 as we explore the intricacies of the real estate investment trust sector and discover value REITs in 2024, on the backdrop of economic uncertainty.
The REITAS AGM will be held on Thursday, 9 May 2024 (12.00pm – 2.30pm) at Skai Suites L69 of Swissotel The Stamford, 2 Stamford Road, Singapore 178882.
The deadline to receive nominations for the 2024-26 REITAS Exco was 12pm on Thursday 18 April. We are pleased to inform you that we have received ten nomination forms comprising three nomination forms from non-S-REIT Managers and seven nomination forms from S-REIT managers.
REITAS constitution states that the Executive Committee shall comprise (i) the five S-REIT managers with the highest number of votes, (ii) the three non-S-REIT managers with the highest number of votes, and (iii) the candidate with the highest number of votes out of the remaining candidates for election.
As there are three candidates representing non-S-REIT managers, and the Executive Committee shall comprise three non-S-REIT managers, all the three candidates representing non-S-REIT managers shall be automatically elected to REITAS Exco. These are:
1. Edwin Ewe, representing DBS Bank Ltd.
2. Jerry Koh, representing Allen & Gledhill LLP
3. Jonathan Quek, representing Citigroup Global Markets Singapore Pte Ltd
As there are seven candidates representing S-REIT managers, and there are six remaining positions on the Executive Committee, there shall be an election among these candidates. The seven candidates from S-REIT managers are as follows:
1. Adrian Chui, representing ESR-LOGOS Funds Management (S) Limited
2. Kelvin Chow – Lendlease Global Commercial Trust Management Pte Ltd
3. Koh Wee Lih – Keppel REIT Management Limited
4. Ler Lily – Mapletree Industrial Trust Management Ltd
5. Richard Ng – Frasers Centrepoint Asset Management Limited
6. Simon Garing – Cromwell EREIT Management Pte Ltd
7. Tan Tze Wooi – CapitaLand China Trust Management Limited

This course is designed to equip aspiring and new directors of REIT managers with the foundational knowledge required for this role. It fulfils the new requirement by SGX (effective 1 February 2024) which requires mandatory training for first-time directors of REIT managers. As Singapore REITs have a trust structure, potential directors of a REIT manager need additional understanding with regard to REIT regulations, taxation, accounting and management that go beyond that required by directors of other listed companies. The course will go over the unique aspects of being a director of a REIT manager and is taught by senior practitioners from the REIT industry.
